Details of 1911 Proprietor | Born 1840 Orpington, Kent. Married 1869 Harriet Johnson (c.1845-1913). Children - Hubert Harry (1875-1943, married Elizabeth Rebecca Brightman), Charles Spurgeon (1877, married Mercy Ellen Eggar), George Stevenson (1881-1971, married Emily Hoskin), Violet (c. 1885). There were four other children, all of whom had died by 1911 and probably before 1891. Reuben began as a gardener, but by 1891 he had become a photographic agent, living in Rosebery Cottages, Epsom (he is somewhat elusive in a couple of censuses).
